Photo Study of the Day! (6/22/12)

Did a baby today! I wanted to go to the extreme end and do something unique with the contest I talked about yesterday and make my character a baby. Tried to take some pictures of the progress today.

Did a rough line drawing of the subject. this represents the outline and highest contrast areas of the subject I guess.

Getting basic tone and value down for the body. Made the head a little larger.

The face (hardest part) try to use value to block out the features and stay accurate to the subject.

The rendering is getting close to done... but its about now I notice that the values are all much too light. The darkest values it the face art even past 50%

We are going to call this one done. there are obvious flaws but I feel like I learned what I came to starting this piece, and I don't have huge sums of time to spare today.
