Here comes Vi!

I'm digging on this character, Vi of League of Legends, hard. Did a little fan art right out the gate. I really like her character design but her log in screen theme kind of put it over the top for me. Way too strong.

Ice Climber concepts?

I've been in a really Ice Climbery mood. Maybe its all the... holiday cheer? I want to do a Christmas themed splash featuring the characters but I also wanted to do my own take on them. A good friend of mine Don (I've mentioned him a few times) suggested that I should be doing more character concepts if I want to be a concept artist. I tried to take some traditional Eskimo and climbing themes and apply those to our parka toting friends. I kind of like the ideas that came out of it.

I plan on putting the process up on YouTube and holding a sort of mini contest to help me narrow down the designs I use in the illustration using feed back from my subscribers so definitely keep an eye on my channel.

Update on my contest piece didn't work on it too much today, but wanted to show you guys what I had. I'll be doing a full time-lapse when I'm done so keep an eye out.

 A piece I will not be entering into Cartoon Block's contest. I feel like I can do a lot better. But you can check out the process of this one on my YouTube Channel if you haven't do so already. I'm learning a lot by doing these original pieces but I think I need to get back into some studies to get my fundamentals stronger.

This lil' Lady is Emma.

She was created by another artist; a Mr. Kienan Lafferty; who is also the artist and creator behind Emma the Online Comic. Not only is he an amazing artist but his personality and view at life is always fun and refreshing and optimistic. Just about every day he streams the process of his comic and answers questions about life the art industry. About every weekend you can find him giving digital art related tutorials. If you haven't done so yet definitely follow Kienan on YouTube.

Having a baby~

Its been a  while hasn't it?

SO... Yeah! I'm having a baby! Lil spooky, I think every expecting parent is always a little concerned that they aren't ready for the new set of responsibilities. For me its a motivator to step my game up.. and fast. So if you have the time give me feed back, let me know what you like and what you'd like to see more of.
